The Continental Canoe kayak Slalom Training Center
The LCKF has invited the Canoe federations of the Central and West Asian and North African countries to establish their training camps in the Continental Training Center in Lebanon on Awali river.
The Center provides:
- Full board accomodation including three and five stars hotels.
- kayak , paddles , helmets , life jackets.
The River Characteristics are :
- 20 km of class 2 and 3 with water flowing at 30m/s all year long.
- it discharges in the mediterranean sea at 5 km from the Continental Training Center.

Kayak Day
After the announcement in various Lebanese universities about the Kayak event in the Green Beach Maameltaine, 19 people participated in the event.
The participants were divided into two groups, and each group spent 2 hours, learning about the Canoe Kayak sport, and after that training on the basic techniques of Canoe Kayak.
This event was under the supervision of the LCKF, represented by the Executive Manager Mr. Jad Hachem, and the training sessions were managed by the Lebanese coach Mr. Michel Firneini who was assisted by Mr. Elie Akoury. Logistical help was provided by the OX Sporting Club in the Green Beach Maameltaine.
During and after the event, the participants, men and women, showed great enthusiasm and love to this sport.
This promotional tour for the Canoe Kayak sport in Lebanon is part of the LCKF’s promotional plan to increase the number of people practicing, and it will continue, and hopefully more people will participate.

Liberation Slalom Cup 2006
After the First Liberation Cup in 2005, the Lebanese Canoe Kayak Federation is organizing this year the Liberation Slalom Cup 2006, on the Assi River, on the Assi Sporting Club site.
